Data center

Data center – a facility used to house computer systems and components. Data centers typically provide redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communications connections, necessary heating and cooling devices, and intense security. Companies often outsource their data center needs to companies whose sole operation is creating and maintaining these large warehouses.

Energy usage:

Data centers are said to use as much electricity as entire small towns. Internet giants like Google and Facebook are leading the charge on smarter, greener data centers, primarily by using wind energy.
