Systems integrator – a person or company specializing in connecting building subsystems into one integrated computer network so that they function together and can be managed jointly. Systems integrators typically offer consulting and IT services as well. In the building automation industry, systems integrators design and engineer systems that bring together a wide array of components from various manufacturers in order to create a unified, functioning building system.
Increasingly, systems integrators focus on operational technology networks with enhanced capabilities for managing the Internet of Things, especially as the number of IP-enabled devices expand throughout commercial buildings.
